Day of Rest, Day of Presentations.
This weekend team Montana was able to do their very first presentation! We were blessed with the opportunity to be able to attend Manhattan Bible Church yesterday. The team was excited and a little nervous to be able to perform for the Jr. & Sr. High group at the church. We spent four hours practicing on Saturday for our hour-long presentation.
When Sunday came the team loaded into the caravan of vehicles and headed off for our 45 minute ride to church. The kids were exuberantly singing hymns and songs of worship all the way to church. Our team has been blessed with some beautiful voices. When we arrived at Manhattan Bible Church the team piled out, and quickly started preparing for their 9:30 presentation. They unpacked all of the puppets and drama supplies as we reminded them of the order of their presentation. When it was time to start the presentation the team was nervous but in high spirits. The presentation was executed beautifully.
The kids sang six songs which included: “Yesu NI Wangu”, “Indescribable” and “Blessed Be Your Name”. Although they were unsure at first about performing puppets, they did a great job with “Child of the King”. Candice, Megan, Emily and Kayla are enthusiastic dancers. They are great fun to watch! The team was able to perform one of their favorite drama’s “Battle Ground” for the youth group as well.
During the presentation Megan was able to share her testimony with the group. We are so proud of her courage and the spiritual growth we have seen in her since Boot camp. Kateryna shared a Bible lesson with the youth group! She talked about the Christian walk, and the many trials and temptations that come with it, encouraging the group to trust God and know that the eternal battle is already won, and God is ultimately the victor.
Over the next two weeks the team will have the opportunity to do at least four more presentations. They are excited to be able to use their talents to minister to others!
“There are probably a lot of people saying that it’s beautiful here, and they’re all telling the truth! It’s been great working outside on the landscaping and improving our farmer’s tans! It’s a lot of work, but it's loads of fun! Not to mention growing closer to God every day has been a very cool experience!” - Audrey C.
“Montana is very beautiful, the mountains are surrounding us everywhere we look. We’ve been doing a lot of yard work and painting, here at the college. I think it’s been turning out pretty well! I really enjoy the painting job and overall just the beautiful nature surrounding us. We took a gorgeous hike to a waterfall in the mountains. We also swam in the reservoir for the 4th of July!” -Emily D.
“Recently we had a chance to perform at a nearby church. It was exciting to see the reaction of the kids, and it was fun to perform . Overall I’m having a great time” - Albert A.
