Evangelistic Opportunities in Australia

Evangelistic Opportunities in Australia

The team is doing an amazing job working together and representing Christ well. We see great changes happening in their lives and are excited to see how God continues to work and move.
Work projects are continuing to progress well. Jacob’s Ladder is getting its posts cemented in today and the landscaping project is very close to getting finished. After putting down the gravel and a layer of packed dirt they will be adding the top layer of cement for the fire pit and will start working on the above ground portions of the project. We had our first evangelistic opportunities this weekend as we went to Mundi markets, and Hastings Street in Noosa on Saturday, having a nice afternoon at the beach, getting ice cream, and enjoying the sun. We also went to the Noosa Church where the team had the opportunity run the entire children’s program. They did puppets, music, Bible stories, games, balloons, wordless bracelet lessons etc. It was much like a children’s ministry in the states that might have 60 kids of different ages.
We also were able to have a bonfire last night with worship and teaching for evening devos. Jason and Dee shared with us some powerful words from the Lord that really impacted the team, making them think. God spoke through them and brought many to realize the importance of surrounding themselves with those on fire for the Lord and not letting that fire burn out.

Teen testimonies:

“So far on the field I have learned how to rely on God‘s strength and spread his joy. I know to persevere through the hardships to bring glory to His name. I don’t work to be boastful, He teaches me humility to make sure everything points back to him.”
Jesse F.

“ Greetings, family, and friends from the land down under,Currently, the team and I have been digging out a hole for a sitting area with a fire pit. As a team, I have realized that with all the work combined, we get closer to our end goal. Spiritually I have felt that I have been growing more in my faith more than ever! I love you guys.”
- Dylan V.

“Hey, Mom and Dad! I am doing good. The food is amazing! Yesterday we carried rocks up a big hill and started digging a hole for a fire ring. I love you all!”
-Hazel L.

“Currently we’ve been working on two projects. One of them is digging a Giant fire pit. The other is building Jacob’s ladder for the OC.”
- Case J.
“ Australia is full of cool wildlife, beautiful scenery, unfriendly people. I’m so thankful for this opportunity to see other cultures and experience new things in Australia. It is cool seeing the other children at the church and how they compared to the children in America. They have some funny Australian accents. I am excited to see what God has planned for me and how he will use me on this trip and in the future.”

“ I’m definitely thankful for all I’ve learned so far and for everyone who made this trip awesome. The team is great. It is amazing how things happen when we come together and let God work through us. Australia is great. I love the weather, the mountains, the ocean, and obviously the many kangaroos we see daily. I love you all. “

“Australia has been amazing. The wildlife is incredible and the people are all friendly. I’ve learned how to work well with the team even with things aren’t going perfectly. Working with the kids at children’s church has been one of my favorite parts…that and seeing the kangaroos. “ Elle J.

“Australia has been so fun. The Lord has worked in my life so much, he has truly showed me what I was doing wrong in life and what I have been doing right. All the people here are so amazing. They are all dear in heart. As much as I miss my family and my home, I’m truly glad that the Lord sent me on this mission. Thank you so much to all the supporters. It means so much to me. I love you all… especially you, Mom!”
