Greetings to you all from the Honduras Preteen team!

Santa Cruz, Honduras 

We're excited to be writing this email to you all! The team is doing well and continues to grow. The work project here on the base is going well. They have successfully torn down two roofs on two cabins. They went around and picked up all the debris from that. They then worked on coating the wooden beams with an insect repellant to prevent termite damage. They did this for both roofs and they also went around and swept the cabins to clear out debris. Today, because of the rain, they worked inside sweeping the main building. 

On Saturday evening the kids were able to have a fun night! We played several different games. An obstacle course one, musical chairs, and "do you love your neighbor?" It was a very good time together. 

On Sunday we had our own little church service, which the sheep wanted to join in on, but we told them they couldn't. We sang some worship songs and heard a short sermon on Ephesians 2. Then after our church service, they got changed and prepared to follow Mr. Daniel on an exciting nature walk around Teen Missions. They crossed creeks, fields, and climbed hills. It was quite the adventure! The kids came back with mud, sweat, and cheers for Ms. Emily.  After their adventure walk, they took some time to practice their presentations. This includes music, drama, and puppets. They did pretty well practicing. Next they worked on their verses and quizzing, the kids couldn't wait to test out their quizzing skills. They got even more excited when Mr. Daniel challenged them to a quiz-off. Mr. Daniel won, but the kids tried their hardest. 

The weather has been much of the same. We have nice hot days with lots of sun, but then the rains come. Which is a nice cooling off!
