Only 6 more days in Bolivia? What!?

Only 6 more days in Bolivia? What!?

Hello from Team Bolivia! The team is doing super well, and we all had such a wonderful weekend!

The work project is progressing well! The foundation is laid and the pillars are all in! From here on out the team will be laying bricks, bricks, and more bricks! It’s really looking good out there!

On the evangelism side of things, the team had the opportunity on Saturday afternoon to go to a church about 30 minutes away. When we arrived, we split the team into eight groups and they went out with different members of the church and evangelized in the neighborhood. Through this outing one woman accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Praise be to God! She shared with us that she had recently left her partner, and was just sitting outside looking for an answer to all her problems. That’s when our kids and the church members walked up. At the end of this EV time that group came racing back to tell us all about what God had done.

Afterwards, we walked about five blocks to a local basketball court to do a presentation. We had a good number of kids show up! We all enjoyed hearing from London B. as he explained the Wordless Book!

When we finished we walked about a mile to the local town center. Here we did a street presentation and EV until the sun went down. Such a cool experience for us all!

Retuning back to the church they had prepared us a delicious dinner before the service. We all enjoyed the fellowship! The team did a third and final presentation of the day for the church congregation. We enjoyed a wonderful testimony from Addie D.

On Sunday morning we hit the road again to go to a church about 15 minutes outside of Montero. We were very warmly welcomed by everyone. We were all presented by the church with some lovely scarves and notebooks! The team also enjoyed sharing a presentation and then lunch with the church.

After lunch, the team made their way to the second church of the day. There were so many kids in attendance! The team got to learn some more choreography from the church folks and then they shared their presentation again for the kids! They then all got to go out to the soccer field and run around, jump rope, and more! The team had a BLAST!

Around 4:30 we began making our way back to Montero, and we as leaders got to surprise the team with stopping at the local supermarket. There were MANY shouts of joy! They enjoyed seeing all the store had to offer and stocking up on some goodies for themselves. For dinner, the team went out to a local restaurant to eat! We all enjoyed rice, yucca, salad, and steak!

After dinner, the team walked about three blocks to their third and final church of the day for another presentation. We also enjoyed hearing from Mr. Judah as he preached a sermon on the book of Philippians. It was Addie D’s birthday on Sunday and we all enjoyed making her feel special! Some of the girls even chipped in to hang up a ‘Feliz Cumpleanos’ sign. It was so sweet.

As we made our way back home, we could tell everyone had an amazing day. We got back home and prayed together and then went right to sleep!

As I write this report, the team is out on the worksite and doing their best to work hard for their last three days. We honestly cannot believe our time is already ending here. Wednesday will be the team’s last time on the worksite. There’s definitely some mixed feelings about it all. On Thursday we will venture to Santa Cruz for a day of souvenir shopping! Then on Friday we will be in Santa Cruz again for their sightseeing day! We’re all very excited for it. Saturday will be our last day in Bolivia…We will leave for the airport around 10:30 PM.

Overall, we have had a wonderful time in Bolivia and we’re looking forward to being back to share it with you all! We appreciate your prayers as we finish out our time strong!
