The Montana Team takes on week two!

The Montana Team takes on week two!

Greetings from Montana!
We have been working hard here at the Montana Bible College base! We have been working on many of the same projects as last week. We have finished one of the dorms, and have started working on painting other dorms. Some of the other team members have also  been able to start painting  the railings around campus.

The team has started working on a fire pit. Which we plan to use when we are finished to make S’mores :). The kids are currently digging up the old fire pit, and weed mat. They will place a new weed mat with rocks over to make a nice sitting area around the fire pit.

The team has been doing a marvelous job working. We are so excited to see the things that we will be able to accomplish, and the many ways that God will use the team. Thank you for all of your letters of encouragement. The team looks forward to these letters and notes everyday! Thank you for lifting the team up in your prayers. We would not be able to do it without them!

“In Montana we have done lots of different projects. I enjoy painting the dorms. We have also done fun things like going on hikes and to the lake. Montana is very pretty”- Candice C.

“It is very pretty in Montana and the temperature is pretty nice even though it is dry. I have done every job possible here and they are okay. Some of the people, including myself, are having a hard time. But I have been learning to filter my thoughts to good ones and have been trying to spread as much joy as I can. I hope that the team can learn alot here and make a difference”       - Mayah E.

“The dorms and landscaping are looking great! I saw a rainbow last night and was able to see the red moon, blood moon, i think that is what it is called. The Lord has provided so much for his team and will continue to. God Bless :)” - Trinity A.

“Hello, It is very nice here and the scenery is beautiful. The climate  is very dry and some days are very hot. I got a cold from the sudden climate change. Switching frp, the wet heat of Florida to the dry heat of Montana made me sick. Right now I am digging a circle trench for a firepit. Painting is kind of boring but it feels good to do a good job!” -Phoenix V.

“It’s lovely here in Montana. You can see mountains everywhere you look! My favorite job to do is paint the college dorms. Although I wish I could be painting the mountains. I am growmg c;pse to Jesus every day and am happy to be able to serve him1 :)” - Emily

“It’s so beautiful here! We’ve been having a lot of fun painting and fixing up the campus! It is so fun at meals sitting and talking with each other. I love our daily Bible Study and Group Devos as a team.” - Amiella

“It’s so beautiful here. The sky is definitely big! We have the wonderful chance to serve by cleaning up the college campus. When we’re not working I love how much time we spend in the word of God  and with each other.” - Hannah

“Considering the fact that I’ve never seen mountains before, I’d say this trip is pretty amazing so far! I love my team and the leaders so much, we are like one big family!!! The work isn’t too bad, everyone on the team makes it so much fun! My favorite part so far was hiking to the waterfall in the mountains and discovering the caves beside them. Although I miss home, I am so glad to have taken this opportunity and to grow closer to God :)” - Megan

Montana

All 24 team members have safely arrived and have their feet on Boot Camp soil. Over the last two days, the team has been in many long hours of orientation classes. Boot Camp can be quite a shock to many young people. During orientation the kids were briefed on: drama class and the skill of improvisation, devotions and the need for personal walk with the Lord, the basics of the Obstacle Course and many other classes that will be critical for thriving as a missionary.

Good Afternoon from the Montana Team!

Montana — We have come through a sopping few days. Although the skies have been cloudy and full of storms, the team's spirits have been high.

Greetings from team Montana!

We have officially come through the first week of boot camp!
This first week has flown by! The kids have ended some of their classes, such as blocklaying, carpentry and drama.

Final Report From Bootcamp!

We are in the final stretch of boot camp!
This is our final day of training and then we are getting ready to pack out for the field. This will be our last report before the field!

Arrived in Montana!

Arrived to Montana Bible College with a warm welcome.

High Mountains, High Spirits

The Montana team is adjusting to the drastic climate and elevation change. As we are coming into the end of our first week, the team is experiencing dry heat with 30% humidity and an elevation of 4,820 feet above sea level . This is a gigantic change from the very high humidity levels experienced, at bootcamp, and the elevation level of 3 feet. Even though this has proven to be a challenge for some of the kids they are pulling through, and showing us that they are truly dedicated workers.

Fourth of July Fun!

It is a chilly day here in Montana! Ít is 63 degrees with a touch of rain. This past holiday weekend has been filled with many activities. Saturday afternoon the team was able to practice for our very first presentation, unfortunately we were unable to perform with the originally planned church. After we finished working Saturday we were able to take a beautiful half mile hike to the Palisades Falls. The pathway up to the waterfall was a paved road mostly uphill with beautiful scenery on every side. When we got to the waterfall the team enjoyed climbing up the rock face to better see the beautiful creation that the Lord made.

Day of Rest, Day of Presentations.

This weekend team Montana was able to do their very first presentation! We were blessed with the opportunity to be able to attend Manhattan Bible Church yesterday. The team was excited and a little nervous to be able to perform for the Jr. & Sr. High group at the church. We spent four hours practicing on Saturday for our hour-long presentation.
