The team has been doing very well!

After getting settled on Sunday and Monday, the team went to work on the project site on Tuesday. They began with clearing out trash and some brush where they’ll begin digging and laying the building foundation in the near future. In the afternoon on Tuesday they came back to practice their team presentation for a few hours to get it smoothed out!

Wednesday morning they continued working out at the work site, they dug up some stumps and even chopped down a tree! Mr. Judah worked with some of the team to figure out the lines for the foundation. In the afternoon, they had the opportunity to do an EV presentation at an event that was a collection of local churches. There were around 500 people in attendance! They sang two Spanish songs and did the ‘Colors’ drama in Spanish. They did a great job and everyone seemed to really enjoy it! Especially their introductions in Spanish.

Today the team is back out on the work site and they’ll be working the full day out there. Mr. Judah and Mr. Eli hope to have the team begin digging the foundation/footer. Two of the kids, Bea E and Andrew P went with Miss. Amanda this morning to a local school to tech English to some kids! What a cool experience.

This weekend we have some awesome EV opportunities lined up for us and we’re super excited for it.

Things in the kitchen have been a blast! The ones on KP (kitchen patrol) so far have been up for any task. Whether that be cleaning the bathroom, washing dishes, chopping veggies, or mixing some yummy kool-aid. We even had Josiah W whip up some biscuits today. They’re really rocking it.

Overall, the kids seem to be adjusting well and doing their best to get into a routine, even though the last few days have been a little off schedule. We’ve enjoyed going through our Philippians Bible Study together and also our separate times as guys and gals. The team continues to unify together and grow closer with each passing day. We appreciate your prayers as we continue working on the project and also prepare for more EV opportunities.

The weather has been nice! It gets pretty warm during the day, with lots of sunshine. But thankfully there isn’t too much humidity. Last night we got a little random rain storm which was nice.
