We are surviving Boot Camp!

We are surviving Boot Camp!

God is moving mightily in the lives of the our team. The rallies have been fantastic and God is stirring the hearts of the team members. Many are responding to the altar calls and getting things straightened out with God before moving forward. God is so good! We are delighted and praising God for all that He's doing.

We will be commissioning on Saturday and leaving for Zambia on Tuesday. The kids are gearing up and are ready to go as we start the final preparations for departure.

The team finalized their presentation today and performed it. They did a fantastic job! One of the songs the team is singing for our presentation is Our God Is An Awesome God. We love when the team sings this song. It's such a great reminder to each of us that we indeed serve an Awesome God! Our prayer for the team is that their eyes will be opened to to all the work that God is doing in our lives and all that He has in store for us.

The entire team arrived safely on Saturday.

The entire team arrived safely on Saturday. Most came in the morning and the early afternoon, but a few came later in the day and didn't have much time to settle in. Thankfully, the team is adjusting well to the conditions here (heat, sleeping in tents, etc.) and is beginning to work together as a team.

Hello from Boot Camp!

The team is doing really well and adjusting nicely. The weather is still warm and quite humid but we are getting more and more used to it everyday.

The Zambia team has really been blessed this Boot Camp.

The Zambia team has really been blessed this Boot Camp. There was a big storm one night that woke us all up and drenched our clotheslines.

Much deserved but short night’s sleep in a noisy airport in Chicago.

As I write this, the team is settling in to a much deserved but short night’s sleep in a noisy airport in Chicago.

The Zambia team has arrived safely into Lusaka.

The Zambia team has arrived safely into Lusaka. One B Bag is missing. The Airline said it would be delivered to Ndola.

The Zambia team has finally arrived in Zambia!

The Zambia team has finally arrived in Zambia!
After a few extra days at Boot Camp, a night camped out in a Chicago airport, almost 20 hours of flights to Africa, an overnight stay Lusaka, and a 6 hour bus ride across the country - we are finally at the Teen Missions base in Ndola.

We are tired and a little travel weary, but very excited to begin ministry here.

Today, we organized our kitchen, moved into the dorms here at the base, and had some time to play with the kids on the base.

It's been very cool in Zambia (which has been a welcome change from the Boot Camp heat).

On Sunday, we will be traveling to a remote village to work with a rescue unit and the Sunday Schools in the surrounding area.

Please pray for our safety as we travel and open doors for ministry in the villages.

The Zambia team has relocated to the Teen Missions Lufwanyama Wangibisha base.

On Saturday, we took a tour of the TMI Base in Ndola. It was inspiring to see how innovatively they have used every resource they have to support the ministry here. In the evening, we shared our presentation with the Bible school students.

We've been here a week so far and are loving it!

This last couple of days we've been in Lufwanyama about a hour from the closest paved road and hours from any modern comforts such as a grocery store.

Greetings from Ndola!

We were blessed in our final days at the Teen Missions base in Lufwanyama with nice weather and helping the locals to complete a fence. After a 6 hour bus ride, however, we have begun settling into a routine back at Ndola.

God is good!

God is good! He has been so good to us in all that we have done.
The last few days in Ndola have been a blessing as we've had the privilege of helping to complete a drainage system for the bathrooms and spending the afternoons going out to the Sunday Schools.

Past week we have been working at the Teen Missions Base in Ndola.

On Friday morning, we completed digging a ditch for the plumbing from new bathrooms to the septic tank. It was tough work digging through the rocky soil, but the team was able to complete it, and begin digging a new trash pit for the base. A few team members also helped weed the gardens.

In the afternoon, we ministered at another Sunday School. We shared in song, puppets, drama, testimonies, Bible stories and played soccer with the kids. We taught the kids how to share their faith with a wordless book and had several accept Christ.

As we explore the sights in Livingstone, Africa is forever etched in the hearts of each of us.

We had a three days packed with adventure: Victoria Falls (one of the seven wonders of the world!), a safari, sunset Zambezi river cruise, sight seeing, and souvenir shopping filled up the days.
