Hello, friends and family of the Brazil team!

Hello, friends and family of the Brazil team!

All team members and leaders have made it to Boot Camp safely. The team has 23 team members and four leaders.

Since arrival day, the team has been learning their way through Boot Camp. Arrival day was a long day of travel and moving in for most team members. Some of the team members had early flights causing them to lose some sleep. It seems that most of the team members have caught up on sleep and seem to be more alert!

Orientation Day (Wednesday) went smoothly. The teams were taught about camp rules, writing letters (some should be heading your way moms and dads!), and other helpful things like memorizing verses and photography.

The team seems to be conquering the Obstacle Course. Around 5-6 have ended dipping into the Slough, but I don't think we've had any full submersions. The team got 19 kids over the Wall today! That is incredibly good for only their second day.

Today (Thursday) is the team's first day of classes. So far they have gone to puppets, digging, and block-laying classes. They have many more classes to go, but they've made a good start!

The team is bonding well. They are a great group of kids who seem to really be bonding even in these first few days. During free time and between classes they can always be heard chatting or having a good laugh about something. All in all, they seem to be a pretty joyful group of kids.

From the kids:

Sebastian P.
Boot Camp 11 out of 10. It's fun.

Isabella O.
I think it's been difficult but good. I've been reading 1 Peter and it's been an encouragement to put forth my best effort because it's all for His glory.

Chase K.
It's hot, sweaty and I'm tired but the food is great.
