Hello from Boot Camp!
We are well into the first week of Boot Camp and all the kids are thriving. It has been a little bit tough trying to keep dry here in Florida because it has been raining every day since the kids arrived. However, we can still say that everyone has a dry tent, praise the Lord!
Now that we have started Boot Camp the kids are halfway through some of their classes and are enjoying learning what they need for Ecuador. Our classes range from block laying to puppets and more. During our music class, we are learning a Spanish song that we can sing in Ecuador. It has been a little difficult but everyone is trying and the teachers teaching us the song are very patient with us. The Obstacle Course has been a highlight for the team so far because it makes the kids work as a team and they really encourage one another. On the second day of running the OC the kids got 15 people over the Wall and won the OC for the day! Even though everything is crazy with all the rain delays, the kids are making the most of it and getting to know one another more and more. We clean the bathrooms today and after that, we get to swim in the pool that is here on TMI property which will be a nice break from the hot sun. Here are some words from a few team members.
"As a first-year, I'm really enjoying Boot Camp so far! I've made some incredible friends and the food has been so good. I'm super excited to see what the Lord has in store for the rest of Boot Camp and for our mission in Ecuador." Savy
