Malawi travels to their first Rescue Unit

Malawi travels to their first Rescue Unit

Hey prayer warriors! Thank you for y’all’s prayers  We gotALL of our duffel bags before we left the TMI base ???????? We made it to our first rescue unit, Amy Wellman. We are definitely in the country part of Africa. We are currently 6 hours ahead of Florida time. The views are so beautiful with the mountains in the distance and the stars at night put you in a state of awe at just how beautiful Gods creation is. The team is settling in fine. They got to do laundry and bathing and each one of them have gotten their water by pulling a bucket up from the bottom of the well. We also end each night with group devotions where a team member can share whatever God has put on their heart with the team. These times are one of my favorites because I love hearing how God is moving in each of their lives.

Our work project is going great. Since we have such a big team we split our group in 2 work groups. Group 1 is at the medical/eyeglass clinic while group 2 is evangelizing with the kids. Each day they rotate so everyone gets to participate in both sides of our project.  The kids are working together well and absolutely love the clinic and evangelizing. I love hearing all the stories they have to share at the end of the night. I’m sure there will be many experiences to come that they can’t wait to share with y’all when we get home.
Tomorrow is Sunday and we are going to a local church to share with them what we are doing here in Malawi and more importantly share the gospel. In just a few days we will be packing up and going to our next rescue unit. Please be praying for safe travels and that we can pack up and set up our camp in a timely manor.
Until next time, here are some comments from the team.

Hey friends and family! Made it to Malawi after 3 long flights. I shared the gospel with a nice guy on the 14 hr flight and can’t wait to evangelize more. The people of Malawi are so welcoming and I can’t wait for what’s next. Love you guys!

Hey family and friends! Just made it to Africa. Boot Camp was fun. Teen missions is life changing. Traveling was exhausting but kind of fun. I’m so excited to evangelism and help people. Good will work in us while we’re here serving Him. Miss you all. Keep praying for us as we are here.

Hi family, it was a long few plane rides but we made it to Malawi and I was able to sleep a lot. I had a lot of junk food but I feel great. We were able to sleep late and take normal showers so I am refreshed. I love you guys and I miss you. See you soon.

I’m loving it here in Malawi, the people are very kind and welcoming. I love my leaders as well, they made the travel here feel safe and they were very understanding to each of our needs. I can tell already based on my previous experiences with my tan and leaders that this is going to be an amazing trip ????

Last couple of days here in Malawi.
