Our first week of Boot Camp is complete!
Saturday, all of Boot Camp was treated with homemade pizza and a chocolate milkshake for supper. If anyone was in poor spirits, that meal gave them a great boost! Our team was on KP (Kitchen Patrol), so they got to actually help make the milkshake. They loved the opportunity to hold cold ice cream and to step into the freezer. Megan K., along with several others, did a fantastic job diligently washing up all of the dishes after the milkshake was served. Simon S. hauled a lot of empty ice-cream containers and milk jugs to the dumpster. We have a great team of servants, and I think the milkshake tasted all the sweeter because they served Boot Camp so well!
On Sunday, we were able to relax and really connect as a team. We also began quizzing verses on Sunday. Caleb H. is a first-time team member, but he already has all 40 verses memorized and is determined to be our best quizzer! We were able to swim in the pool for the second time on Sunday, switch tent partners, clean, hang out, and then we wrapped up the day with popcorn and the movie, "War Room".
Today, everyone is a little tired from staying up past normal bedtime to watch the movie. We are seeing lots of yawns and sluggish walking. Perhaps during free time today, our kids will take a nap! We are encouraging everyone to finish strong and not give up because we still have a full week of training before Commissioning. Please join us in praying for energy and zeal!
