The team made it to Iowa!
Hello family and friends of Iowa team,
The team made it to Iowa! After a night in the nice cold Orlando Airport, the team flew to Charlotte, South Carolina. We had a quick layover and then headed to our last flight to Des Moines, Iowa.
The Jericho Hills Camp is beautiful! The property is quite large, with big hills of soft grass. The kids have gotten a lot of enjoyment by running down the hills. The leaders also enjoyed watching as some of the kids tumbled down the hill less coordinated than others.
The kids got moved into their dorms. We have a nice place for the kids to sleep, and a nice living room area for team time.
The team has started their work projects. So far they have been doing landscape projects. Moving rocks, weeding and tearing up dirt around trees.
Our missionaries here, Shonn and Lori Foy, have been very welcoming. Mr. Shonn has a lot of good projects for the team to do. We’re excited to see how far the team can get down the list of jobs!
The weather is lovely here in Iowa. Especially compared to the hot humid Florida! The kids are enjoying the cooler weather.
