We have arrived safely in La Mosquitia and settled in.

We have arrived safely in La Mosquitia and settled in.

We have arrived safely in La Mosquitia and settled in. Two bags were lost, but have both been recovered. Team members are all doing well in adapting to both climate and culture. Many of them are making friends with the base’s BMW students; teaching them English and learning Spanish themselves. The Lord has blessed this team with great unity and high spirits over our many days of travel.

All sleeping arrangements and kitchen setup was completed with relative ease. Tragically, two team members, Anna Donalies and Ariana Wine, have gone to the sick tent with a fever and upset stomach respectfully. We have been taking measures to treat both of them, though the fever has been slowly rising. We are closely monitoring her condition and are thankful it is not too high. Arrival day was rainy, but after prayer the rain ceased and we were able to finish travel and settle in dry. We began our first work project, building a fence, and it has been going well. Our boat circuit ministry is on delay as per quarantine order.

Web testimony: Hannah Braendel
One of the things God did that we prayed for is the rain stopping. We were about to move from busses to trucks and some of us had to sit on the back. But we prayed and it was so cool to see God stop the rain so we can stay dry.
