We Have Reached the Halfway Point!

We Have Reached the Halfway Point!

Today marks our halfway point here in Iceland, and time could not have gone by quicker! This week the team has been continuing work around camp preparing for Kotmot. They have completed drywall projects and many landscaping projects. They have been working on clearing walkways, brushing and repairing various things around camp. Maciah B. has taken on the job of fixing a bridge, as well as building a dock by where the team does laundry, for drawing water out of the stream. The Teens are ecstatic for their upcoming sight seeing day which will hopefully occur next thursday, where we will be going to the famous blue lagoon followed b y souvenir shopping. After next week, it will be all hands on deck for the event that following weekend! The team has been practicing their presentation for Kotmot, because they will be helping with the kids program, as well as hopefully the youth program! We are continuously shocked by the teens eagerness to serve! They are all truly very willing!

Every evening we have been blessed to hear a team member share for evening devos and most have shared their own personal testimonies to christ. With two more weeks left on the field we ask that you please continue to pray for our work projects as well as the upcoming conference Kotmot, that our kids will be a light to this community!

It is fun in Iceland! Next time we go by the store I need to buy a heavy jacket and pants because it is cold here, it is fun though. Miss you! -Jake H.

Hey everyone! While I've been a part of teen missions I've learned a lot, and grown in my faith with God! Boot camp was quite the experience, but I wouldn't change it for anything. I learned a lot about myself, and my teammates.Boot camp was very hot and I'm so thankful that I'm in a colder climate, It was so cold the first week in Iceland though. So far, Iceland is amazing! The view from anywhere you stand is amazing, and the people we have met have been so sweet! I am so thankful for my team, and all we've been doing! -Taliah V.

Hi mom and dad and Kadi and family and supporters! Iceland is cold! Since I've joined the Iceland team I've made many friendships and bonded with a lot of people. We work all day (basically) and we have deep conversations about God. Weekends are full of free time and sometimes sightseeing. We go to the store on Saturdays and sump on the bouncy thing (it's a big airedup ball kinda). I know for a fact that I've been changed and will continue to be. -Andrew B.
